Welcome to Methley Primary School! We are a two form entry primary school catering for children from 3-11years and are part of Brigshaw Learning Partnership Multi-Academy Trust. We are a welcoming, caring and vibrant school set within a supportive community.
Our staff team are forward thinking and committed to providing the best education possible for our enthusiastic and motivated learners. Together we have developed an exciting curriculum, underpinned by our ‘Methley Magic Five’- motivation, perseverance, collaboration, communication and respect. We encourage our pupils to be aspirational and have big dreams. Our curriculum is enriched and inclusive and is supported by a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities so that our children leave us as life-long learners and assured and confident citizens of the world.
Our school is at the heart of our community and we value and nurture our relationship with parents. There are many opportunities to become involved whether as volunteers, through invitations to assemblies, presentations and performances or through the regular parental workshops that we hold, or even as part of our very active PTA.
Our school really is a special place to be and we would love to share the Methley Magic with you. Please spend some time looking at our website and if you like what you see or would like to find out more, please contact our school office for a tour.
We look forward to meeting you.
Motivation + Perseverance= Success(MPS)
Our school ethos is at the heart of everything we do:
we want our children to be motivated to learn,
to persevere and to recognise their own successes in a variety of contexts.
Furthermore, we want our pupils to be great communicators,
and enthusiastic collaborators but,
above all else, respectful citizens of the world.
Together, these five values make up our ‘Methley Magic Five’- motivation, perseverance, communication, collaboration and respect.
We're proud to belong to the Brigshaw Learning Partnership MAT, working together with six other school, sharing our experiences, expertise and resources. Our mission is to provide a cradle to career education that allows our children to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity.
Being part of the BLP allows for exceptional education and opportunities in our community and to be part of an all through journey from reception, through to 6th form. Our shared ambition is underpinned by a commitment to our values of equality, integrity and resilience.
